Building the Coop - part 2

    Over the last week my husband along with his brother and father have been working to build a chicken coop. Before they got started the discussion was whether this would be a full day project or just a half day thing.  Four days later, it was almost done.  We just needed to attach the door locks, put on one more coat of paint, and build the interior structures.
      One complication that we could not plan for was the temperature.  Normally temperatures are in the 40's and 50's this time of year.  The week we built the coop they were in the mid to low 30's!
    Overall, I am just glad it is done (or nearly done) and that we got to do a project like this with our family's help.  I think it is very important for kids to have the opportunity to learn from the adults in their lives.
